The story of the Penlee Lifeboat.

Marking 40 years since the RNLI Penlee lifeboat ‘Solomon Browne’, was launched in hurricane conditions to go to the aid of the coaster ‘Union Star’ which was being swept towards the southern coast of Cornwall, Into the Night is a unique theatrical experience conceived and produced for screen.

Produced for screen the creative approach was to keep swift and dynamic. Three wearable camera devices were used, alongside a complex system of choreographed operator movements to ensure continuous coverage and keep the urgency in the storytelling. Shots were crafted to enhance the changing geographical relationship between locations as events unfolded and proxemics changed.
